Founded in 1975, Fero now plays a key role in the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU), one of the largest and most respected coffee unions in the country. With over 5,000 smallholder farmers—most tending less than one hectare of land—this cooperative produces clean, vibrant coffees at elevations near 1,930 meters above sea level.
